5 Casual Chic Outfits for Winter

I'm really, really not a winter fan and sometimes it just gets too easy to reach for those comfy old trackies and my favourite sweater that would have me looking like I'm homeless if I ventured outside! If you're like me, you might be looking for some "winsperation" (see what I did there? Winter Inspiration?! lol - sorry !).

Anyway, I spent the weekend poring over images trying to find my top 5 for chic casual style, and here they are in no particular order:



I love this look right down to the bag. White sneakers have been around for a while now and don't look in a hurry to go. Comfortable and stylish - booh yeah! The bigger the better now - New Balance have brought out some winners that look just as good with jeans as they do with full length dresses! Oh for the love of a camel coat! A good quality coat will add style to any outfit but for weekend wear just pop it over a tee and your jeans and you're away laughing.


There's a bit of a recurring theme happening here with all the black, but hey that's the way I roll! You'll also notice the white sneakers which for this 50-something year old is utter gold! This chunky knit would look great styled with the pleated skirt above, and would look gorgeous with white jeans for a spring/summer option. Image sourced from "chicpursuit.com"


And last but not least, because Jenn is my girl crush, the trusty blazer and jeans combo. Pop a silk shirt and a pair of heels on, and you can go anywhere, but for your casual stroll around the airport (pictured - hehe !) this is a great look. Image sourced from "vattire.com"
